I found the missing stock for this WWII Sniper Rifle

I found the missing stock for this WWII Sniper Rifle
Im looking into it more but supposedly my buddys finnish mosin is a 1891 dated tang with one of those front sling swivel bands. its got a finnish stock though so the sling is through the swivel the finns added.
Great video, I have one of those sights in my collection. I always wondered about the mark, so I kept it aside.
I have an almost identical rifle from Finland. It was rebarreled in 1921 to dragoon length and has the same rear sight spring and KAB stamping on the rear sight. The only difference is that the font is larger and the stamping is parellel to the long axsis of the sight.
Very interesting thank you
Awesome rifle and pokemon shirt!
You never cease to amaze me please do a follow up video
One hundred dollars try fifty nine dollars and two boxes of shells With it
Very interesting
Could the difference in sight size be due to geometry between the front and rear sight? If a barrel is longer the front sight will appear higher than the front sight on a shorter barrel at the same angle.
I can confirm that the same 7.62x54r round out of an M91 does indeed exit the muzzle slower than a 91/30 with virtually all modern/semi-modern ammunition (back to the 1930s at least). You get about 40-50 more fps out of the 91/30. That still leaves a big gap in the historical record though, as the most interesting and experimental stuff going on was right after smokeless power was starting to get adopted and used. So anything WWI or earlier could include quite a few developments on powders, and the site calibrations that were needed to deal with them. But it does make sense that the Russians decided the M91 was needlessly long.
Big Sam is the man.
Thanks Big Sam 👍
Excellent tutorial!
I have one that has been remarked for meters. Cool stuff. Thank you for your content.
Kgb mossin nagant can you do a review on this?
после революции 1918 года казаки были вне закона у большевиков,потому и было изменено клеймо с "каз" на "кав".
Thanks !
It is kaz, z in russian Look like 3 , same like old german. becourse the dragoon rifle for the cossak stamp like this. Dragoon rifle is shorter as infantry rifle and need other sign. Kaz is only a property stamp, the rifle are exactly the same rifle. Sorry for the english, iam from german. It is no cav stamp.... ok the russian guy below told it was a change to kab (cav).. learned samething ❤
Yes yes mine does thanks big sam
Long winded, rambling, and not 100% correct. 👎
Hey man, love the angle of how you did this video, I’m trying to do the same thing. What did you use to video this? Like setup?
Hey Sam please pray for my uncle chuy he’s got cancer in his liver he’s going to start kemo therapy this month wish him luck and hope that he’s pulls through this he’s 69 thanks for your information on mosins I enjoy your channel good work and hope to see you at some gun range that would be awesome I would enjoy some company and mosin conversation
hi , i have a question my mosin nagant sniper have a C mark left
Where can I get the book in polish, do you have a link to where they can be purchased
Picked up 2 M39s a few years ago, 1967 production that were assembled to use as Officer Marksmanship training rifles. Both receivers are dated 1905, one is a Tula, the other Izhevsk. I picked up the two of them because the barrels are consecutively numbered xxx401, xxx402. Don't often run across milsurp with consecutive serial numbers and I couldn't pass these up. Really nice triggers and all around beautiful rifles.
Great video, can you do a video on the Romanian m44 if possible?
Try a penny
Great video, you've been a great help to me in identifying mine, keep it up!
Me a Florida farm boy only need my hands 😂
Thanks again, Sam. Great show, as always !
Sam, I have an M39 SKY coming up at auction. You mentioned it being a higher value. Could you help me out with an approximate price. The stock is very marked up, but it has the civil guard stamp on the stock. Metal seems to be in good shape. 1942
Fantastic rifle and presentation big Sam
I got my m39 2 months ago for 640 bucks total including transfer off GB, there are good deals if you are patient and search for it.
Only around $700-800 USD? That' bloody cheap...
Thank you for this amazing library of videos. I’ve learned so much from your channel!
Let's do it sam!!
Beautiful rifle and background
Hey sam 👋 just saying thanks again for helping me find the pice for my finnish mosin. I haven't forgotten about ya.
Thanks Big Sam!
If you pay attention at gun shows and small shops they are still out there quite cheap. I have about 200 in my m39 I found about 2 years go.
I've got an m39 with a barrel stamped 1970. Looks new.
You have a really rare one
This made my day! God bless 🙌
I’d be curious for your take on late production (1968-73ish) M39’s in general, plus current pricing. I’m seeing. Early 40s M39s around $750, then those late production M39’s $1k plus
I heard a few years ago that the french were the ones that invented it. They started making it for the Russians. Then the Russians liked it so much that they started producing it.?😅
Ding dong, your information is wrong
My wife recently looked in my gun safe and said, “you are finnish buying rifles.”
😂😂
Funny
My wife told me a year ago if I bought one more rifle she'd leave me. Sometimes I almost miss her...😏
I just realized I was unsubscribed from your channel. I fixed that. Big Sam you should probably mention this issue to your followers.
I would bet there are a bunch of these out there(in yhe U.S.) that people think are just some random mosin. They probably think its still 7.62x54r and is very sticky and not very accurate. With the 8x50r rifles I believe you can shoot and fire form from 7.62x54r but you dont get any rifling engagement. Lol. Im so Adhd that i interrupted my video to type this and right after you mentioned this. Sorry Big Sam! Thank you
I lost all of my mosins in a tragic boating accident. But before then my counterbored 1942 91/30 was far more accurate than my non counterbored m28 and 1930s 91/30. Don’t pass up those counterbored mosins!
I'd sell a kidney for one of these
Hey big, Sam. I have a question. My M91 cannot keep a cock. it not the Trigger Spring if it was the bolt were come out of the rifle When I cock it it slams fire itself.
Nice to see this rare Mosin! 😁
